Biography

I’m excited to meet your students and join the team of teachers at Elevated. I have a passion for teaching that I can’t wait to share here. I love learning new ideas and methods to implement in my instruction, and I enjoy using stories and real-world connections to help solidify concepts for students.

I graduated from Utah State University in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. During my time as a student, I worked with students from 1st through 5th grade. I completed my student teaching at Edith Bowen Laboratory School in a 2nd-grade classroom. I immediately began my first year of teaching 3rd grade at McKinley Elementary in Tremonton, Utah. I can confidently say that my first year of teaching changed my life. I discovered how much I truly love to teach! I care deeply about each of my students and love watching them fall in love with learning in my classroom. I’m excited to bring that same energy and commitment to Elevated.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my amazing husband. We love hiking, biking (we recently got a tandem bike!), going on evening walks, and camping. I also enjoy cooking homemade meals and playing board games with him in the evenings. I love learning new things too! This year, I learned how to crochet and how to do some pretty cool yo-yo tricks! I’m currently learning Spanish as well. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, running, swimming, playing outside, and being with the people I love.
