Humanities

One of my favorite thinkers, Adam Grant, says, “If knowledge is power, knowing what we don’t know is wisdom.” I’m so grateful to be part of a learning community focused on curiosity and inquiry! Learning, I believe, is all about asking the right questions.

I graduated with a B.S. in history from Utah State University in 2010, then spent several years pursuing two of my passions — secondary teaching and creative writing. My first novel, Wolfpack, will be released this October, and I will be graduating from Weber State University with an M.A. in English in December. I’m thrilled to be able to utilize all aspects of my educational background to teach humanities and writing at Elevated.

I grew up in Farr West, Utah, but have lived all across the Wasatch Front, and also spent several years in Georgia, Virginia, and Nebraska. Currently, I live with my husband, two kids, and our mischievous house bunnies in Ogden. After living in the Midwest for four years, we’re thoroughly enjoying our spectacular mountains! We also love music, art, and sports. Family is everything to me, and I’m a firm advocate for collaborative, parent-supported learning. I look forward to working with you to help your child succeed.
