Selena Bermudez

Language Arts

I am thrilled to combine my passions of teaching and developing online resources that will help students to achieve growth as a part of the Elevated Charter School team. 

I graduated in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University and immediately began teaching 3rd grade. I taught four years as a 3rd grade teacher and then switched to a STEAM teacher position. These roles have given me a deep understanding of teaching all grades K-6. It is so important to me to plan lessons that engage students in collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. I always want to build positive relationships with my students and their families to build a culture of trust and inclusivity.

When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my husband and our two adorable sons. We love to play at Bear Lake, go on walks, or relax watching our favorite shows. Some of my favorite things include Diet Coke, Chick-Fil-A, Disneyland, and all kinds of music.
