Becky has been an educator since 2012 in both Texas and Utah and holds certifications in early childhood through 6th grade, Special Education, and ELL.  With a B.S. degree from the University of Houston as well as graduate-level work, she has a deep understanding of child development.  She has taught in public schools, charter schools, online, and homeschool co-ops.  Becky loves science but enjoys teaching ELA and helping children find their love of literature.  Both rigor and engagement are important to her when teaching young minds. Patiently and yet enthusiastically, she will support children who are struggling and challenge those who are ready to reach new heights.  She is excited to meet her new Cohort families.

When not teaching, you can find Becky enjoying the outdoors with her family.  She has a love for fishing, hiking, reading, and camping.  Art is one of her favorite pastimes as well.  Watercolor painting is her favorite! Becky has two labradors, Buddy and Gilly, and a bearded dragon, Loki.
