My background is as a developmentalist, with emphases in behavior, genetics, and cognitive science. With my personal love of learning and understanding of the brain’s natural learning systems, I’ve found joy working with innovative educational programs like Elevated Charter School.

I grew up with an education model similar to Elevated’s and am a big fan of competency-based learning and the creativity it can inspire. I’m a mom of one, which fuels my passion for helping parents feel empowered and involved in their children’s education. 

I received my Bachelor’s from Sarah Lawrence College and Brigham Young University in Human Development. I most recently came from working at BYU in an adjunct position, helping to develop courses that utilize a socratic and flipped classroom model.
