Hello Elevated Families! I'm Tara Pearce, and I’m excited to be your Special Education math and language arts teacher, as well as your 6th-grade math teacher. I hold a degree from Utah State University (Go Aggies!). My experience teaching in charter schools and the private sector has fueled my passion for helping every student unlock the world of math and reading through engaging activities and differentiated instruction. I particularly enjoy working with students with reading challenges such as dyslexia and helping students unlock their math potential through games, hands-on projects, and real-world applications to make learning fun and effective. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family (reading to my grandchildren!), camping, cooking (using fractions!), crafting, gardening, and home improvement projects (math skills in action!). Looking forward to a fantastic year at Elevated!
